Message From THE PRESIDENT 2025 - 2027

Dear members and fellows,

Today, we live in a time that has see’s unprecedented progress and innovation in the practice of medicine. We move towards an era of personalised and precision medicine, digital health and technological advancement in therapeutics which are rapidly changing the practice of medicine. Frequently overlooked is that this progress comes with a cost. Yet, the medical fraternity has never been challenged as before by the high expectations from an increasingly knowledgeable clientele, malpractice litigation and questions on professional remuneration. In this tumultuous environment, clarity is required to uphold the highest standards of clinical practice, ensure equity and access to healthcare and fair remuneration for services provided. Constant dialogue and engagement with all stakeholders are required; be it patients, fellow professional from other disciplines, governing bodies and cooperate entities. This task cannot be shouldered by any one individual. It requires the collective collaboration and involvement of every individual in this fraternity. Today, I invite each and every member of CORLAMM to be part of this effort. Together, let the Otorhinolaryngology fraternity of Malaysia stand out as a shining example of excellence in service of the nation.
